Industrial and systems engineering students and faculty who have received funding from the oil company gathered at a reception this spring with BP business recruiting leader and 2001 ISyE graduate Casey Thomas. The company has provided more than $800,000 in scholarships to UW-Madison departments since 2008, and more than 200 Wisconsin graduates work at BP. “BP is specifically interested in industrial engineering students because they have the right mix of engineering and business skills, which are critical to keeping our core manufacturing businesses running efficiently and profitably,” Thomas says.
